Where travelers go and where they stay once they get to their chosen destination are two factors that undeniably shape the in-trip experience. But, as we learned from our Travel Trends research, travelers rank activities first among the most important considerations when booking a trip. And, as travelers ourselves, we can relate. We know that memorable travel moments are often anchored on activities and destination experiences.

Experiences and activities are the heart of Expedia Local Expert, which offers over 50,000 activitiesfrom theme parks, to swamp tours, to Broadway showsmeaning that no matter what a traveler is looking for, there’s an activity to match.

To showcase the breadth of activities and experiences available through Expedia, we collaborated with Expedia Local Expert on a fun new campaign, Epic Holiday Card Giveaway. The campaign microsite is designed to encourage site visitors to explore available activities and consider a wide range of in-trip experiences as they plan their travel.

The creative campaign takes a playful and interactive spin on the holiday photo card tradition, which is often captured during vacations, and takes it to the next level with a sweepstakes. The sweepstakes will award one winner a $50,000 all-expenses paid trip to take the vacation of their dreams, enjoy activities, and capture their 2019 holiday card photo.

On the Epic Holiday Card Giveaway microsite travelers can book select activities and tours in top destinations like Las Vegas, New York, Rome and Paris at a 50% discount, ensuring that everyone can get the photo of their dreams. The campaign is supported with a full media plan that includes display ads, PassportAds, video, social, and email.
